Please review the following policies. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to bark!
CURRENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION: It is vital that we have your current information. If you have any change in your registration or billing information, please contact us right away.
NOTIFICATIONS: We will notify you by phone, text, email or door tag of any changes in service or issues that we encounter.
ACCESS: Please make sure that your gate or other yard access is in good repair, is unlocked (or that you make arrangements) and free of blockage. If we can’t get into your yard, we will notify you as above.
YOUR YARD: We are not landscaping critics, but please remember that we will be able to do a much better job in a yard that is reasonably neat, than in a yard that is overgrown and full of debris. Rock areas are naturally much harder to clean than grass areas, and we may end up removing some rock along with the waste. We’ll do our best to give you a quality cleanup, but want to be aware of the pitfalls of rock yards.
THE STUFF IN YOUR YARD: Due to obvious safety and liability issues, it is our policy not to move, climb on, or crawl under any large, heavy obstacles or structures as we work in your yard. This would include but is not limited to: Decks or porches, sheds or storage containers, lawn equipment, tools, furniture, recreational equipment (swingsets, trampolines, etc), any type of vehicles or trailers, trash cans and other piles of discarded items. We will certainly clean on, under and around all areas that we can see and reach. If you wish a more thorough cleanup under any equipment or furnishings in your yard, please move them and we will be glad to get those areas caught up.
WEATHER: We will do our best to be there for you rain or shine. However, please be aware that adverse weather conditions such as heavy ground covering snow, heavy rain, extreme winds or lightning may delay your pickup until the following week. Yes, we charge for missed pickups because pet waste will accumulate at the same rate, and when the weather and the ground are clear, the accumulated waste will all be removed at no extra charge. We do not generally send out notices for snow or heavy rain days, so please use common sense and call or text us if you have questions.
GROUND CONDITIONS: Along with the weather, poor ground conditions such as snow, ice, mud or fallen leaves and other debris may limit our ability to pick up waste. Again, any waste missed due to snow, ice or mud will be removed as the ground clears. We will not be digging up your yard, plowing through mud and snow, or chiseling ice to obtain frozen waste.
DOG AGGRESSION AND BEHAVIOR ISSUES: We love dogs and are glad to meet, greet and treat them, but for everyone’s safety we require that dogs who do not want strangers in the yard be kept indoors or crated for our visits. A confrontation with an aggressive dog may result in immediate cancellation of your service. Please be candid with any other behavior or health issues we may encounter (is your dog excessively timid, doesn’t like men, newly rescued, blind or deaf, etc?) as this information will help us to be a better friend to your dog and to provide you with better service.
PET HEALTH: We’re not veterinarians but we would like to mention a few things. We strongly recommend that you feed your dogs a high quality diet. Some chows may be cheaper, but you’ll find that a premium dog food makes for healthier dogs. As an additional benefit, a high quality diet improves digestion, creating smaller, less frequent stools. Also, please make sure that your pets are up to date on all appropriate vaccinations and health maintenance.
CATS: We love cats just as much as we love dogs. If you have an outdoor cat in the yard along with your dog, we’ll be glad to pick up any visible kitty poop for no additional charge.
HOLD SERVICE: Please call, text or email if you need to hold your service for vacation or other occasions when you and your pets may be gone from home. If your pets remain home in the yard during your absence, for example with a pet sitter, we will continue service as usual. Any pickups on hold will be credited on your next billing.
